Ten years ago, I sat on top of the Haleakala volcano in Maui. We woke up in the middle of the night to drive two hours up the mountain and wait in the freezing cold to see the sunrise. While some opted for the warmth of the car, I watched from the top as the sky began morphing from black to orange. I was in awe. This was my first taste of adventure and it changed the course of my life forever.
